The event, organised by Wokingham Town Council in partnership with Eclectic Games of Reading, will take place on March 1.
It will run from 9.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 5pm.
The event is open to all, whether you are a seasoned board game enthusiast or just curious.
There will be a selection of modern board games available to play throughout the day, with professional demonstrators on hand to teach attendees how to play.
The event is suitable for adults and children over the age of 10, with some games available for younger siblings.
There will also be taster sessions of the popular tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons, as well as a new player game of Blood on the Clocktower, a social deduction game.
Tickets for the event will go on sale on February 3 at 9am, priced at £4 per person for each half-day session.
Discounted group rates are also available, with an early bird special offering tickets at £3 per person until February 14.
Councillor Barrie Callender, chair of arts and culture, said: “Board gaming does not just mean Monopoly or Trivial Pursuit.
“As fun as they are, there’s a whole new world of games out there for both adults and children, and Eclectic Games, our partners at this event, know them all.
“Come along and try some out.”
“We’ve games that require strategic thinking, others that are light and fun.”
