Western mythology of the dragon
Dragon
Dragon is a powerful creature in Western mythology, at first glance looks like a lizard with bat-like flesh wings. There are many kinds of dragons, living environments from the desert to the forest, and even the ocean are distributed, habits and colors vary with the species, the common characteristics are like treasure, cave dwelling, will spit fire.
Generally speaking, dragons can be divided into the following categories.
Colored dragons: As the name implies, dragons of various colors. Including black dragon / green dragon / red dragon / blue dragon, etc., in some AD&D (such as dragon gun) background, belong to the evil dragon, but there are exceptions.Colored dragons are among the most common dragons.
Metal dragons: Metal dragons mainly include gold/silver/bronze/brass dragons, etc. In most AD&D (such as Dragon Gun) backgrounds, they belong to the good dragons.
Gemstone dragons: Gemstone dragons are most commonly crystal dragons / emerald dragons / topaz dragons / amethyst dragons, etc., and belong to neutral dragons in most AD&D (such as Dragon Gun) backgrounds.
The dragon has a strong body, a long and thick neck, a horned or frilled head, sharp teeth, and a long tail. It walks on four strong, powerful feet and flies with a pair of huge wings that look like bat wings, and its body is covered with scales that protect it. Its eyes have four layers of eyelids, the inner three of which are transparent to protect them from damage, and its ears can open and close, but not all dragons have external ears. The teeth are sharp and pointed, usually curved inward to tear apart prey.
There is strong magical protection under the skin against almost all magical attacks, so dragons are not afraid of magic, but their eyes are still not immune to magic when they are exposed without skin protection, and dragon blood makes people invulnerable to swords and spears (in German legends), but most dragon blood is highly toxic.
It can make spitting attacks, depending on the type of dragon, such as red dragons will spit fire, blue dragons will spit electricity and so on. It will also be immune to energy attacks of its own kind. A dragon is a fearsome creature that emits a frightening aura: a fierce aura, commonly known as dragon power, which overwhelms other races in soul level; it can also use some magical effects, depending on the type. Some dragons can use some spell-like abilities at a certain age, and these abilities can still be used even in the forbidden zone, just like the dragon’s might.
