Yes, the two dedicated dice rows fit most large and metal dice (up to 26mm). NOT suitable for tiny mini dice. The versatile extra side compartment also leaves space for an another regular-sized dice set, or a small miniature, or other accessories.

Can the Dice Sanctum also fit tablets in the stand slot?

It was primarily designed to fit smartphones, however it can also fit small-sized tablets provided they are placed horizontally (tablets should not be placed vertically as it will topple over), and if the horizontal tablet length is under 7.8 inch.
