While the gods that interact with Golarion can be mysterious and seemingly unknowable, Lost Omens: Divine Mysteries attempts to explain the nature of the gods, the power of the divine, and the role of the faithful in the Lost Omens campaign setting.

The following sections are found in the book:

Chapter 1 – Secrets of the Divine: The true nature of divine power and the gods might not ever be completely understandable, but this chapter presents a number of essays that attempt to discern the workings of deities and their capacity as divine beings. The essays are written by the the book’s narrator, Yivali, a young nosoi in training to become an aide to Pharasma – the Lady of Graves and the goddess of birth, death, fate, prophecy, and time.

Chapter 2 – Gods of the Inner Sea: This chapter dives into the 20 prominent deities whose faiths are most common throughout the Inner Sea region. Each entry details a god’s general information, their worshippers, their places of worship, and more.

Chapter 3 – Other Gods: In addition to the 20 gods detailed in the second chapter, many other gods have strong followings throughout the Inner Sea region. These gods are not necessarily less powerful or valued, but instead are more likely to have smaller followings compared to the prominent deities.

Chapter 4 – Other Divinities: Many gods fall into larger groupings, like the archdevils that rule Hell or the elemental lords who claim domain over elemental powers. This chapter presents several of these larger groupings and other powers that can grant divine gifts, and even discusses some of the stranger divinities know to Golarion.

Chapter 5 – Divine Power: Players wishing to find new character options will find this chapter useful. There are new domains to expand on those found in the Pathfinder Player Core, new spells, and new archetypes and class archetypes with divine influences, be they holy, unholy, or otherwise.

This sourcebook should help players expand their characters’ stories, whether as faithful followers, agnostics, or seekers of divine power themselves.
